I am Attorney Glenn Solomon and I provide creative, innovative alternative dispute resolution services to individuals and companies in Portland and the surrounding areas in Oregon. Solomon Mediation and Arbitration concentrates on facilitating peaceful solutions that adequately address both parties' needs.

I bring over 20 years of experience in employment law and extensive training in conflict resolution to the mediation or arbitration of workplace disputes. At some of my book signings, radio talk show and television appearances, it took me by surprise to find that as an author on employment law, I was being heard more as a neutral voice than as an advocate. It seemed that at least some of what I had to say resonated just as much with managers and human resource people as with employees. While I am an advocate for employees in my law practice, I am a neutral facilitator of agreements in mediations and an objective arbiter in arbitrations.

Innovative and Creative Conflict Resolution

I recognized that my development as a neutral was important to my efforts directed toward security and stability for employees as well as their bosses. So I began a program of study at the Cornell University School of Industrial Relations Institute for Conflict Resolution. The program culminates in a Certificate in Conflict Resolution and the point of the program is to train arbitrators and mediators in innovative and creative conflict resolution methods. While I am an advocate for employees in my law practice, I am a neutral facilitator of agreements in mediations and an objective arbiter in arbitrations regarding all facets of employment law, including:

In addition, I serve on arbitration panels for many Oregon Circuit Courts for court-annexed arbitrations.
